Which really is not that big of a jump.  Look at the political compass scores.  We cover all but the bottom Left quadrant, which is where the Democrats are, far for, most prominant.

I don't inhabit the bottom left quadrant; though, it seems to be pretty much the Democrats domain on the political compass; while you'll find most Republicans on the economic right of the compass though split between authoritarian and libertarian wings

I think we are both big tents to some degree - but it amuses me when Opebo tells me to join the Religious Party, since I happen to be, shock horror, a mainstream Protestant, who is MILDLY authoritarian on SOME social issues while, simultaneously, being pretty tolerant
