Absolutely. They have attacked each other, but not nearly as badly as most other rival candidates. Trump may offer it, claiming to have done the adequate research into Cruz's eligibility, and Cruz will be shrewd enough to accept. However, as one whose primary self-purporting skill is his dealmaking, he may go the whole nine-yards and demonstrate his prowess by picking a candidate who has always been viscerally opposed to him (say, Bobby Jindal?)

The two seem to still have a great relationship, but I think that Trump will ultimately pick someone else as VP if he's the nominee
