Apparently the campaign has backed down judging by the update now in the original link.  Judging from the story so far, the only thing that seems to make sense is that the campaign wanted taken down the images that were appearing on fundraising stickers and the like.  Still an incredibly stupid idea to do in that case but at least marginally understandable why they would want those images down.

TBH, I don't see why they wanted the images, I mean is there any incriminating info? Or secret info the Sandernistas don't want released?

Lol. In all seriousness, though, this is a non-story, albeit a pretty weird and confusing one. (At least that's what the Illuminati wants you to think.)

Does everyone in this thread actually think the Sanders campaign directed their lawyers to do this?

Like every campaign, they outsource their legal work to a law firm and give them blanket instructions like "protect our trademarks." An overzealous lawyer there made a mistake and it's already been rectified. Who cares?
