As we all know, Trump and Clinton will most likely be the nominees (anything could happen tho). There are many that are absolutely disgusted by both, and a third party could possibly do really well.

Who could pull off a third party run? Who could get a significant amount of voted from Democrats and Republcians alike? Who would get the highest percentage of votes and media attention?

It ain't happening.
If the nomination somehow went to Rubio, then a third party Trump run could happen.

Not the sexy answer, but this. The electoral college is pretty much an insurmountable hurdle for a third party candidate, particularly when the country is very polarized like it is today.

Michael Bloomberg is the only person with potential for significant third party support.

Probably no one. If you're talking low to moderate success, Webb or Bloomberg could (maybe).

I'd be shocked if Bloomberg cracked 10%.

Bloomberg has literally zero appeal to anyone other than beltway creeps.

I think some people are confused.

Who could get around 5%-20% of the vote? Who could do really well for a third-party candidate?

Yeah, Jim Webb at best will get 2% of the vote.

From the left wing, Sanders.
From the center, Bloomberg/Huntsman/Webb.
From the right, Rand Paul.

I think that Bloomberg could AT LEAST get 5% of the vote if he spent a billion or two on the race (or maybe even a smaller amount of money)

As long as we're talking total unrealism, what about the Trumpster?

Bloomberg won't run, though. He'd get maybe ~9-10% in a Trump/Sanders race at best, if he actually did run.

If Bloomberg were to spend a billion or two on the race, I could see him getting 8% or so.

It would only be viable in a Trump v. Sanders match-up.

Bloomberg appeals to literally nobody and would be completely ignored by the media, even if he could somehow get on the ballots.

TRUMP is probably the only person who could win like 5% if he ran as a third party or independent

Until when is it even possible to run as an independent?

Bloomberg is worth 40 billion dollars (I don't know how much of this wealth is liquid tho). He could easily buy media attention. He would almost certainly not be ignored by the media. He's too high-profile. He could buy a lot of ad time.

Bloomberg appeals to many moderates who think of Hillary as a crook and Trump as a fascist.

I'm fairly sure there are deadlines to get on the ballot at some point. All I do know is that the Libertarians and Greens are already eligible to get 270 electoral votes.

Webb floor is probably 1-2% and Celling is probably is 10%+ depends on who runs and how effective he can win over red torys (conservative democrats)

Bloomberg will probably not run unless he thinks he could be competitive.

Bloomberg owns a media empire.  He would get media attention.
