Ted Cruz didn't say anything about Iowa being run by corn cartels.  His remarks were directed at the Iowa governor who told Iowans he wanted to see Cruz defeated.   He actually praised Iowa farmers in his remarks.

He said there's a Washington cartel "gravy train" holding sway over the politicians of Iowa because of the corn subsidies, calls them crony capitalists, and how he's a real conservative, unlike those establishment Iowa politicians who run the state.

Making it into a funny, memorable title is a much better summary that typing all that out. It's why I posted the article link.
