This was truly a match made in heaven. At least for tonight, she has been transformed into the female version of him.

EDIT: or was she always like this? I haven't been into politics long enough to see many of her speeches.

Trump looks blindsided by her Rand Paul comment. Also what a smack in the face of Cruz to praise Paul and not him.

Sometimes even worse I hated her from day one and the fact she endorses Trump makes me hate her even more

The thing I remember was that, back when Breitbart was somewhat reasonable [sic], there was a headline reading

PALIN: TOUGH PRESIDENT BETTER THAN TRIVIAL PURSUIT EXPERT

or something to that effect. It was quite funny, although in context it made sense.

She was more polished and restrained in the 2008 campaign. Since then, she's been like this basically.

This is just a stream of buzzword sound bites with absolutely zero substance.

In other words, vintage Palin.

CNN is now saying that it was undeniably a "very good speech."

That was a great, great speech. The shtick didn't work in '08 because of the economy and people being depressed and anxious, but now with booming economy and healthy President Trump on top of ticket with the only issue being anger at ISIS, this might just work. Populism with anger can be a beautiful thing.

It doesn't necessarily directly help Trump, but it hurts Cruz a lot. It basically shuts down his "NY values" attack. Along with Branstad's attacks today, which have no doubt closed off a lot of potential support undecideds, Trump's position has relatively improved due to Cruz's position deteriorating.

Listening to Palin was one of the most unpleasant things I have had to endure in a long time. That is all I want to say.

You mean to tell me that a gadfly politician/reality TV star known for word-salad speeches that don't really seem to go anywhere, endorsed Donald Trump??!  I am SHOCKED.

I think this helps Trump.
I also think that everybody is waiting for someone else to take Trump down.  It's the only explanation I can come up with for why he's still in the race.  He's got everyone scared to take him on.  It's due to his cocky attitude, his wealth and his track record.  Everybody who takes him on gets destroyed or just barely escapes.  The list is a mile long, but George Will and Rosie O'Donnell are a couple examples.
I still can't imagine the party of Bush and Romney nominating him.

LOL when did it become the party of them? I thought it was the de facto party of the Messiah Reagan who, ironically, would be considered a Democrat by today's Republican/Tea Party litmus test.

Probably will help Trump since the Republicans in Iowa are very conservative and along the lines of the Steve King circus and, for better or for worse, Palin still has appeal to these loons (case in point: Senator Joni Ernst). I still think Cruz pulls out a narrow win on Caucus Night due to the support of the "evangelical Christians," who won it for Huckles and Insanetorum.
