We have had many polls asking who will you vote for.I am interested if we did a traditional poll, how the results would break Down based on demographics. You may use this for either the Democratic and GOP. Please only fill in the poll for the party primary/caucus you plan on voting in. you may leave questions blank you do not feel comfortable answering.

- Will vote in the Iowa Republican Caucus on February 1st
- I will most likely vote for Chris Christie
- My second choice is either Kasich or Rubio
- A while ago ... I wavered after Bridgegate, but he's cleraly the best candidate
- No, my first time voting was in the 2010 midterms
- I voted straight ticket Republican in 2010, for Romney in 2012 and for Miller-Meeks (US House), Branstad (Governor) and a few other Republicans mixed in with local Democrats in 2014; I left Senate blank, as I did not like Joni Earnst's campaign, and it was obvious she was going to win
- Though my avatar and birthplace is Illinois, my home state right now is Iowa

- White
- Male
- Protestant (Lutheran, ELCA)
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance (University of Iowa)
- Ideology is moderate overall ... "pro-business (government should craft an environment for businesses to succeed) and pro-civil rights (favor heavy government intervention to protect them)" is the best summary

Won't be voting because I'm not a US citizen, but ah well.

- Republican
- Marco Rubio
- Second choice: Ted Cruz
- Have supported Rubio ever since he declared
- Won't be voting because I'm not a citizen, but would have voted in 2012 as well if I were (for Romney in the general, Gingrich in the primary)
- Home state: The Netherlands Grin

- Other
- Male
- Jewish
- Two master's degrees
- Ideology... at this point, not sure anymore.
- Under 25

  • Democratic party primary
  • Voting for Clinton
  • 2nd choice: Sanders
  • Decided a couple of months ago. I think my Sanders crush crashed into reality and made me seriously question if, among other things, Americans are ready to ignore 'socialist' labels

I plan to vote for either Rand or Kasich, whichever is still in the race or in a better position. I vacillate on my first choice; all candidates have major flaws.

  • Democratic
  • Sanders
  • 2nd: O'Malley or Clinton, leaning Clinton as her healthcare plan is "pragmatic"
  • Since 2012 I had been a strong Clinton supporter thinking she is really the only viable candidate. After I started volunteering for 2014, I really got into politics and the issues, and I just felt someone had to really fight for the issues that I hold dear. Now I am not saying that Clinton wouldn't do that, but I just don't feel it would be as be as hard of a push. I was reading and watching some of Elizabeth Warren's speeches and just fell in love with what she had to say, sadly she didn't run. But in April, I was surfing through C-Span I just happened upon some old guy saying he's running for President, but he has to go back inside for a vote, and I just really liked him. I was a Sanders supporter day one.

I haven't decided between the Republican and Libertarian primary (I have until May).
I'm also undecided on a candidate. Leaning Gary Johnson as first choice, but willing to vote Rand Paul since the Republican primary may be more meaningful than the Libertarian one. Also seriously considering John McAfee. Not likely to make it to the Libertarian National Convention, which is where a Libertarian vote would actually matter.
Not my first time voting. This is my 3rd primary vote, after voting Ron Paul 2008 and Ron Paul 2012.
Home state: California.

Party caucus/primary you will vote: Republican
Who will you vote for: Donald Trump
Your second choice: Hillary Clinton--maybe. It's easier for me to say which candidates I don't want to vote for, and given the pool, I've been led to select candidates who I like as characters less so than as real people. The fact that every non-Trump Republican is losing to Trump is indicator enough that they're not ready for prime time.
When did you decide on who you would vote for: Fall 2015
Is this your first time voting: Yes
Home state: Michigan

Demographics
Race: Euro-American
Gender: Male
Religion: Roman Catholic
Education: 2.5 years into pursuing a BA (political science) and a BS (criminal justice studies)
Political Ideology: "Center Right"/"Conservative", but both are horrible descriptors. Admittedly hypocritical reactionary curmudgeon would be one facet of it. I'll go with "pessimist" for now.
