What if we have a surprise on both sides: Bernie wins the Dem nomination while Kasich clinches the GOP nomination? How would such a contest look like and who would win? Kasich picks Marco Rubio as his VP and Bernie chooses Elizabeth Warren.

Are we seriously still pretending that Comrade Sanders is capable of winning more than just Vermont and DC if he's luck, and maybe Hawaii if his opponent is crap?

Let's see: Kasich is widely hated by republican voters, Bernie can't reach the south.

w/Third party Trump:

Bernie Sanders/Elizabeth Warren: 280 EVs, 47%
John Kasich/Marco Rubio: 136 EVs, 23%
Donald Trump/Sarah Palin: 122 EVs, 30%

w/o Third party Trump

Bernie Sanders/Elizabeth Warren 288 EVs, 54%
John Kasich/Marco Rubio 250 EVs, 45%

Kasich would pick up a lot of Democratic votes; especially from the moderate wing.

Governor John Kasich (R-OH)/Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL): 352 EV. (52.74%)
Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT)/Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA): 186 EV. (45.65%)
