I think he'll endorse Christie in N.H. next week, and it could help Christie with independents, although Pataki never gained traction.

I'm thinking Christie.  I wouldn't mind seeing Pataki run though.

Kasich, maybe to try to give him a boost in New Hampshire. I hope.
How does an endorsement from a sub 1%er make a difference.

I'm pretty confident it'll be Kasich, if not one of the establishment trio.

The day I fear most is when Sanders secures Lincoln Chafee's endorsement. I may have to jump ship after that one.

He kicks him up from 2% to 3%. Big game changer! Tongue

Again with the Lincoln Chafee obsession. I guess you never did forgive him for making Hillary look bad by voting against the Iraq War while being a Republican, did you?

"No"

But really, the only person he made look bad is himself. He made himself into a national laughing stock and a punchline. I'm quite satisfied with how it turned out. Wink

I wonder if Walker and Jindal will endorse before Iowa. Both had followings in Iowa, at one point Walker was the front-runner.

Can the quasi-mythical "Establishment" just pick a damn candidate already?  Rubio vs. Christie vs. Kasich; who cares?  I just don't want Trump, and I honestly want Cruz even worse.

I agree. I wish that the establishment just got behind Rubio. Bush, Carson, Christie all drop out, endorse Rubio. Ahhh if only...

Interesting.

Really, I'm mostly curious as to when Chafee is going to endorse. He kind of did so implicitly through announcing the end of his campaign at the Women's Leadership Conference, but since he was so anti-Hillary the whole campaign, I really have trouble believing he's going all the way for Hillary.

He endorsed Rubio earlier today.

This is actually significant, because, up until now, pretty much all of Rubio's endorsements have been from congressmen to the right of your average Republican in Congress, according to 538.  Now, he has the support of a prominent liberal Republican, possibly sending a clue that the RNC is ready to rally around him as the anti-Trump.

I think Rubio may not like this. Pataki had like 3 supporters so his endorsement is worthless, and Rubio has been desperately trying to dig himself out of the "establishment" pidgeonhole. An endorsement from the most liberal Republican running doesn't seem like a good way to do that.
