One is a bustling city with the spirit of democracy promoted on CNN, and one is oft-discussed solely on Atlas.

Hudson, NH (which I have never heard of until now) is a township that is 29 square miles in size with 25,000 people. Hudson, NY is a city that is two square miles in size with 6,500 people, maybe 4,500 packed in one square mile. I suspect for its size, Hudson, NY is one of the best known cities in America.
