Who are the Democratic and Republican "leaders" on the forum? I don't mean directly, but who most often defends what their party stands for and gets amens from his fellow Dems/Reps.

For the Republicans, it's probably John Ford, maybe Supersoulty.

For the Democrats, it's probably Gabu, who replaced Nym.

I'd nominate Dazzleman for the Republicans.

Not sure about the Democrats.

Ford for the Republicans

Democrats are too diverse and independent to have a leader.

So every Republican says "amen" to abolishing the minimum wage, legalizing hard drugs, repealing the 17th amendment, implementing a flat tax, and re-authorizing the sale of machine guns?

Well you're not exactly representative of the majority of Republicans. You stated that above, so I don't know why you're contradicting yourself.

I'm not really sure if the Democrats have a leader. It would be kind of hard to say something that both Alcon and Cosmo Kramer agreed with.

As for me, I highly doubt it; nobody likes a moderate. Smiley

I would say John Dibble, but mainly because he posts the most.  David S is a close runner-up.

I'll second Dazzleman.  Pretty mainstream conservative.  PBrunsel would be on that list too.  Ford is a little too moderate and Philip is Philip Cheesy

Only one group has a leader, and that leader is dominant.

John Dibble of the Libertarians. His faithful Deputy is David S, who replaced cwelsh (who Dibble replaed as leader, iirc).

I wouldn't say that the Libertarians have a definitive leader, in that they all pretty much agree with everything each of them has to say.  They're like the political version of the Borg. Tongue

No true leader of the Democrats, but the leader of the leftists on this forum is Lewis.

How about that I post about strip clubs too much?

Opebo is the leader of the Democrats.

.... and I'm the Queen of Sheba!

I don't think the Democrats or the Republicans have a leader per se. Some members are more prolific than others. Some are highly factual, while others are pretty forceful personalities

Speaking for myself, I'd like to think I'm a significant contributor from the 'common sense'/pragmatic wing of the Democratic Party

For Reps- Ford, Soulty, and Dazzleman.

For Dems- Gabu, Frodo and Alcon.

This forum is a bit more centrist than the party bases, but less centrist tham the general public.
