Politico has a piece on Julian Castro in the context of the possibility he'll soon be on a national ticket.

It's relatively even-handed covering his strengths (skill with political relationships) and weaknesses (lack of experience/ policy knowledge.)

Please don't!  He'd be the Palin of the left waiting to happen.

He does seem inexperienced. Is he that kind of blustering idiot though? Palin, or even close to Palin levels, seems hard to match.

The best quailified candidate would be Tim Kaine. The problem with him is, that he's not charismatic.

Charisma doesn't matter. Competence. It's about leadership.

There were a lot of pro-Castro stories released yesterday. His team is really giving him the hard sell.

If she wants to win, Tim Kaine is the way to go.

Hilda Solis is a vastly superior choice to Julian Castro, the same goes for Xavier Becerra or Luis Gutiérrez.

Julian is really smart. Sarah is one of the dumbest Americans that exists, anywhere. She's so dumb in fact that she's not even able to construct a full sentence so that it makes sense to anyone else. So dumb that she gladly admitted that she had not read a single national newspaper in her entire life. (I give her the benefit of the doubt here that perhaps once or twice she might have read a local Alaska newspaper as someone happened to throw it in her face and she felt she had no excuse left other than to read at least parts of it.) She's so dumb that she seriously believes that Des Moines is the capital city of Russia and that Putin is the Governor of Iowa. No less. She's so dumb that her entire family has been in prison at some point, and that in a state where abolutely NOTHING ever happens. Beat that. Your entire family is criminal at the same time as 100% of your neighbours are animals.

I feel like Becerra is better in almost every single way than Castro. More experienced, more charismatic (Castro is just boring, IMO), even though he's 57 he looks pretty young, doesn't have the surname "Castro", and if he loses, then someone else can replace him in his state.

Becerra is just great.

Castro isnt Palin, Palin doesnt do press conferences or one on one interviews and she dodges Meet the Press. Castro speaks eloquent on Meet the Press.

Latinos are becoming very unionized and Clinton can will in OH, with high union turnout.

Gutierrez is a wacko, he's like a million times more wacko than even Bernie Sanders. Gutierrez would make Sanders feel like an extreme nazi version of Ted Cruz in fact, lol. Are people here even slightly serious?

There is no one on the left who is remotely the equivalent of Palin. She is a once-in-a-generation perfect storm of awfulness.
