That's why Hunstman should run and pick Bloomberg as his VP. Choosing Bloomberg as his VP will give him media attention and the money needed to run a successful third-party campaign. The purpose of a third party should be to steal more votes from Trump, not Hillary. Huntsman is the perfect moderate Republican alternative to Trump.

Nothing substantial, they're very similar.

This is why I'm pretty sure the rumors are that he's only looking at running if Donald Trump or Ted Cruz is the Republican nominee and Bernie Sanders is the Democratic nominee.

Bloomberg is more nanny-state on state/local issues.

Uh, most economic issues? Clinton is significantly to the left of him on that.

This.

Claiming that Bloomberg and Hillary are exactly alike is absolutely absurd.

Too many Sanders supporters have been duped into thinking Clinton is some right-wing DINO, when in reality she was the 9th most liberal Senator during her time in the Senate.

Bloomberg is to the right of Hillary on some economic issues.

Bloomberg is a libertarian-leaning Democrat.

He's pro-tax cuts, pro-school vouchers, wants to cut entitlements to reduce the deficit, and etc.

He's also a pretty liberal on social issues.

Although he is known for some big government views (soda, guns, smoking, etc.), describing him "libertarian-leaning" is an accurate assessment.

Just because he's "socially liberal and fiscally conservative" doesn't mean he's libertarian leaning. Also, what taxes has he cut? All I know about is all the taxes he's raised.

Also remember that Bloomberg is a war hawk, he strongly supports Israel and supported the Iraq War troop surge.

Maybe I should rephrase myself. He's pretty fiscally moderate for a liberal, but he's not libertarian. He's center-left on economic issues.

Is that better?

Michael Bloomberg about ten years, even with today's positions, would be considered a fairly moderate Republican. I don't think he would disagree with Late Senator John Chafee on a single issue.

Huntsman should run for VP under Bloomberg. He's the bigger figure on the ticket.

The most obvious difference is that Bloomberg thinks he should be president, while Hillary Clinton does not.

Also, pretty much everything from taxes to stop-and-frisk to the evils of soda pop.
