New polls show him with big leads in all early states. Don't these polls matter now at this point?

It looks like it, but these things can change.

Yes, but Palin endorsement will hurt him among Dem women in GE.  Trump is a bankruptct Casino CEO, who reminds of Romney, elitism and vulture capitalism. Bloomberg wont jump into race unless Sanders in nominee.

At this point it is a coin flip for me whether or not Trump wins it.  It seems like the establishment GOP is doing the unthinkable by methodically getting behind Trump.  But at the same time, this candidate has said things that are so bizarre, I can't help but think he will implode.
To me, it comes down to a guy who has participated in WWE and called Rosie O'Donnell a fat pig and who sues people for fun.  I like some of what he says.  But we have better choices in Rubio, Cruz, Christie, Bush, Kasich, etc.  Can't vote now but if I did it would be a coin flip.

I sure hope he is, because the downballot nightmare he would bestow upon the GOP is Democrats' best and only chance of taking back the House anytime before 2022.

26 GOP seats are in Obama districts, and in Senate, most of the states that's up are in states Obama won twice, OH, Pa, WI, IL, NV, CO & NH.

Seeing the establishment move into his corner this week to block Cruz seals it. This is how it's going to be.

I love the fact that hardcore Dem partisans are like you. It's going to make TRUMP'S job of defeating the Dem nominee much easier.

Shall we agree to meet back here on November 9th to make fun of each other for investing our faith into what was obviously an impossible win?

A Democratic Senate and President Trump would be interesting. I just started a topic about that in the congressional section.

Yep, he'll win Iowa and then run the table.

He'll probably lose a state or two somewhere. Utah or the upper Midwest are the strongest possibilities. No non-incumbent has ever run the table, though Trump could be the first.

He could lose California.

I'm still capping his current odds at 60% maximum at the moment. A lot can still change.

He'll probably lose Texas (if Cruz doesn't drop out after SC), Vermont and some of the caucus states on Super Tuesday.
