Is it geographically possible to carve out a homogeneously (say, >80%) Madheshi State?
Not unless you split Nepalese districts themselves, you can get a >40 or >50 madheshi state though.
Would they be satisfied with that? Although I do imagine it might create problems for the Nepalese minority in this area.
They'd accept that as they've accepted under federalism, current district border lines will stay the same.
That's the current state map, meanwhile madeshi want the maps proposed by the maosits and the communist, before the communist brack tracked to reducing the number of states and refusing ethnic based statehood.
Look at southern Nepal to compare the two maps.
However a lot of the eastern states included in previous proposed maps, include non-madeshi kochi and mahakali zones.
The fate of Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari is yet to be decided.
Also states in the full far-west though considered in terai, is not considered in madesh.
Non-Madesh people in Terai are also gonna be pissed if the whole of terai is madeshi territory, especially in Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari on the far south-east of Nepal.
