Opinion of Twitter-enhanced church sermons

[they don't love you like i love you]

So basically how it works is this, before the sermon a hashtag is put up, and people are advised to tweet their thoughts and reactions during the sermon using that hashtag. The next week in the series sometimes they'll mention certain tweets that stood out.

Great idea, nice to make sermons kind of interactive. It'd be cool if Jews and Muslims tried similar things.

I feel Twitter might be a bit too "public" a medium for this, but I definitely think such initiatives might be worthwhile, as it makes it easier for people to follow shiurim and the interaction in the shiurim could make for a more interesting experience for everyone involved. Freedom idea.
