http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-megyn-kelly-debate_us_56a6cc8ee4b0b87beec5e2c6

If Trump does not show up to this debate, could this be the first sign of him trying to sabotage his own chances? Debates only help Trump, especially if he has someone to attack like Megyn Kelly. How could skipping this debate help his chances in Iowa? Could it possibly show that he isn't really serious about actually winning and will cede Iowa for someone else to gain momentum?

I will admit:
1. He has said things like this in the past and he will probably take part in the debate; and
2. This is a weird world we live in, where Trump has come out ahead after debates he was outclassed and where Ben Carson wins debates that he slept through, and maybe sitting out the debate somehow helps Trump...

If he skipped, maybe us conservatives could make like the Democrats and actually have an insult-free and substantive debate.

A Trump-less debate would be less interesting for obvious reasons, but I'd still like to see how it would play out.

He'll attend.

If he didn't FNC would do that bs empty podium stunt and ask questions to an empty podium to make him look like a coward.

I have been predicting that Trump will skip a debate because I think he doesn't enjoy them and would rather not do them, but in the end he keeps showing up. I suspect this is just his way to work the moderators. Maybe he is trying to get Roger to call him and promise to be fair.

If he was going to skip a debate to create a spectacle, it wouldn't be the debate 4 days before the Iowa caucus. He'll be there.

If he's afraid of a single reporter being mean to him, how will he stand up to terrorists and illegal immigrants?

LOL.

This debate isn't being shuttered off to some little-known network or being hidden within a weekend, so even without Trump it would probably still get 9-10 Million Viewers.

In those cases, he'll have armed people doing the standing up for him.  Too bad he can't have one of his Secret Service guys do the debate for him.

Oh, sure he can. Just find the one that looks the most like him and disguise him as best as possible.

He has not been good in all the debates and took a polling hit after at least one of the debates so maybe he is not completely confident that he will not worsen his position.
However he will almost certainly turn up.

How's this news? This is what Trump does all the time when he speaks off the cuff. "Yeah, I don't know. Kelly is kind of a bitch. But what are you gonna do about it? I'd rather spend some time at one of my yuge mansions but I'll probably attend cause we are going to make America great again."

He has a poll on his twitter whether he should do the debate. It was 52-48 for yes he should do it, when I voted a few minutes ago.
