The level of gamesmanship is amazing.  He just prevent an upsetting outcome in Iowa like in 2012.

It's sad that such an incredibly immature move has probably sealed the nomination for Trump.

I had no idea his press releases were written exactly like his speeches.

I'm a bit surprised they're not littered with grammatical and spelling errors.

Donald Trump is the George Costanza candidate. Whatever reason and logic would say is the correct choice, Trump does the opposite.

And, by following the opposite of his instincts, he's achieved great success! Plus, he's from New York!

I like Trump, but this makes him look petty and scared, taking his ball and going home. Show up and debate...don't throw a damn fit because you think some two bit reporter is unfair to you.

You know Fox...they will leave the empty podium, they will take shots at him all night. He will take a hit in the Iowa polls and it may tilt the scales to Cruz.

Basically all Trump had to do is take a knee to win Iowa and he's throwing a pass into double coverage. Bad decision.

Not really. More like he's leading by three with five minutes left in the fourth quarter and instead of playing prevent defense he goes with the Hail Mary.

Listen, I get that he may get some points for sticking up to the "big bad mainstream media", which amazingly now includes Fox News and Megyn Kelly. But what person, who is going to show up to the caucus and is deciding between Cruz and Trump, is not going to see Trump for the pussy that he is and will not be swayed by Cruz et al laying punches on the absent baby?

Anyway this is wonderful news. Best debate ever.

I was going to post that it's just a debate between TPP supporting warmongers now, but somehow Paul qualified for the main debate.

Ted is going to absolouuteeely shred the big baby and he won't even be there to reply with a weak poll insult.

I would be surprised if Ted will be able to get to it before the rest of the field stabs Ted to death, as they all seem to be aiming to do.

It's hilarious how people around here don't undertand the simple fact that the man who will be the punching bag at that debate will be Cruz. If this move by Trump is really that damaging that people are calling him "childish" and "weak" all over the place and he'll lose percentage points regardless, then what incentive would people like Rubio have for pilling up on him. The obvious move here would be to attack Cruz and hope both Trump and Cruz go down.

Ahh, reasonable point. I'm sure Cruz will take a lot of heat with Donny being gone. Doesn't mean it wasn't a "baby" (although somewhat smart) move though.

I literally had to check if this was satirical content or not. This campaign is an absolute TV show, lol.

I do wonder the degree of which the debate will center around him. After all, he has demonstrated that with him any kind of publicity is good publicity.

Fox now accuses the Trump campaign of implicitly threatening the safety of Megyn Kelly:

This interview has become retrospectively amusing:

Thoughts?

Only a grade-A chickenhawk like Trump would sink to using wounded vets to hide from a female journalist he insulted.

Rand made it on stage fair and square. The last Iowa polls have helped him and he even got 7% in one yesterday. Keep your eye on him! Wink

lol. If you call fundraising for wounded veterans pouting (i.e. actually making a difference instead of bickering about things that will never get done)...

So? Sincerity isn't required to help people. Further, I actually think helping veterans is something Trump does care about, even if it isn't as much as he lets on.
