The two forum members of opposite parties, each paired up with one of our two most famous independents. Who would win?/Who would you vote for?

Discussion with maps is encouraged.

Why would the South vote for a gay?

Flip Wisconsin and South Dakota with Alabama and Minnesota. Maybe swap South Carolina and Texas with California and Ohio, too.

I'd imagine that Rockefeller would win. TNVolunteer is a Palin waiting to happen, and Rockefeller would be able to appear more moderate than Torie. Also, the Green and Constitution Parties would get a small boost from the more extreme wings of the parties who see their nominees as 'too moderate'.

Rocky would openly trash them on the stump and tell them they weren't wanted in his GOP.

Rocky calls the entire South bigots who don't belong in the party, says he doesn't want their votes, and removes himself from the ballot forcing them to vote for the gay Democrat. His courageous stand turns New England back into a Republican bastion. Wulfric's moderate heroism and Minnesota roots helps him in the Midwest. The West Coast feels left out by the Northeastern elitism and sticks with the Democrats. Despite losing the popular vote by a massive margin (for obvious reasons), the Republicans nearly win the electoral college, but fall just short.

Despite repeat attempts to lose the South, it overwhelmingly votes for RockefellerGOP. Meanwhile, Torie sweeps most of New England-excluding New Hampshire, where TNVolunteer's presence has caused a heavy female Democratic crossover for Rockefeller/Wulfric.
