I just like the guy. He may be not the most charismatic politican (but good sense of humor), but he's an exprienced and pragmatic politican, who knows how to get things done. He got the Golden State back on track. A liberal/progressive who is fiscally responsible, I like that.

I would have preferred Kashkari, but Brown is one of the few Democrats I like.

FF.

Not charismatic, but one gets the feeling that he actually knows what he's talking about at all times. Also he's an example of the type of Californian that should've gone to the White House (instead of the three screw-ups...the two worst came from the bad side of the state)

Not Option 1 because he endorsed Prop. 13

FF

I feel like he actually cares about the people of California as opposed to the sleazeball of a lieutenant governor (Gavin Newsom) that we currently have. I admire his stances on the environment as well. My only qualm with mid-2000's to present Jerry Brown (early 1990's Jerry Brown, 1970's to 1980's Jerry Brown and the current incarnation are basically three different people) is that he should have been a bit more proactive in dealing with the gas leak in LA.

I'm pretty liberal, but it's nice to have Jerry Brown keeping our legislature from going to crazy. I'm not sure that Newsom would do the same.

He made difficult decisions back when the California economy was underwater and he was able to control the more Left-leaning wing and block them from raising spending back when the State still had a deficit. And he was able to encourage businesses to setup to the state. Although the state economy is still not topnotch, it is much much better than were it was when he came into office. FF.

Sadly, recessions tend to hurt long after even if Job Gains supercede the number of jobs lost (2 million new jobs and a net of 1 million if you include the recession). Homelessness and unemployment although decreased is still a significant problem but that wasnt really his fault anyway but the recession.

Great man and Governor who tells it like it is and isn't afraid to make tough decisions.

He's a TRUE fiscal conservative in the sense that if you want something, you have to pay for it (and that includes tax cuts).

I’m a big fan of our governor. He changed the culture in Sacramento and made tough, sometimes unpopular (with his base), decisions. He turned the state’s deficit into a surplus and made major accomplishments on global warming. He’s an experienced and gifted politician and it deserves great respect that a man in his 70s is doing such a great job.
