Rep. RGN, you have 24 hours to advocate for your bill, and then we will debate for 48 hours following that.

The act says it all. We can't force students to wear something that others might not afford.

So consider the lack of debate, I'll extend this by 24 hours so we can get some more voices in.

I'm not too sure about the necessity of this act, but I support the principle behind it.

Apologies I've had a hectic week, I support ID cards in schools even though they were always an annoyance for me.

I'm unsure however of what the bill wants; is it encouraging schools to not adopt uniforms or is it simply saying schools should have the freedom to do what they want?

I never went to schools with uniforms so I prefer not to force students to wear something.
(In my high school time most students wore very tight jeans and I wore corduroy)

I don't know what is the extent of the problem with ID cards, are they expensive ot it's a principle they should be provided free. In my experience I think it was 5$ to get a card plastified. I can go with having free ID cards. Maybe have them free at the beginning of the school year and then having a fee if students keep loding it and ask for a new one.

I have went to schools with uniforms. I don't see the point. I believe that it just encourages every student to act and look the exact same as each other. And constant sameness is something we should actively work against.

I understood it as public schools can't require students to wear uniforms.

Considering everyone's had their input, and there doesn't seem to be much interest in further debate, we'll move to a 48 hour final vote.
