Sorry for triple-posting, but according to CNN Rubio is expecting a strong third.

That means nothing, really. Rubio might say that even if he thought he was in second with a real chance at first, just to lower expectations.

Yes, but this seems to imply that Rubio will run at least a strong third, at least so his campaign thinks.

Yeah. That is likely really, really good for Trump. I'm beginning to think that this could be a landslide.

EDIT: Probably just getting ahead of myself, anything can happen

So the GOP guys at a caucus site let a CNN reporter rifle through their voter registration forms.

Anecdotal evidence from my caucus site at college, for what it's worth: line for republicans is longer than the line for Democrats.

Looks like turnout is yuge and there are many first time caucus-goers on the GOP side.

The GOP-e rallying around Rubio is the most realistic chance that the amnesty wing of the party has right now to derail Trump. If turnout is juiced above 130-140K, Trump will likely win Iowa. He has pretty commanding leads in NH and SC and NV on the way to Super Tuesday.

I've watched 2 minutes of MSNBC and have already seen 2 political ads, and one from an ambulance chaser. It's going to be a long night

Yeah not that I'm complaining but it's kind of awkward having cameras inside the actual caucuses. Aren't there laws against this?

CNN says that turnout for the Democrats is also pretty high. Lots of youngs and some first time caucus-goers.

Caucuses aren't regulated by state governments.

If turnout is abnormally high for the Republican ticket then I have to agree with Ted Bessell that that probably bodes very well for Trump. We did know coming in though that his voter base (along with Sanders) will be exceedingly motivated.

Yeah, he also is apparently giving a speech later tonight (fairly early on, too) regardless of the results. I'm guessing he drops out tonight.

I think the death of that volunteer a week or two ago is still gnawing at him.  I don't blame him.
