Let's say Rand Paul decides to drop out after Super Tuesday if he performs below 10% in the remaining primaries, what is your reaction if Rand Paul endorses Gary Johnson for president?

Are candidates from different parties even allowed to do such a move?

No chance that Rand Paul will endorse Gary Johnson. I predict Rand will drop out immediately after New Hampshire and dedicate his time to holding on to his Senate seat. But as for Gary Johnson, no, it's not going to happen. Ron Paul didn't even explicitly endorse Johnson in 2012.

I'd be happy, but I'd also be worried that Paul would be throwing away his clout in the party and the Senate. It's better off that he does what his father did-endorse him in all but name.

I'd only respect him more.

I would say he has given up and be satisfied with what he has done. Most conservative senator of my lifetime, and possibly of all time in American History
....Robert Taft?

I'd be tremendously happy if he does that, but I'm guessing it won't happen.

As long as he doesn't endorse Trump or Rubio, I'd be alright.

I mean, this has been a failure of a campaign, but he's still my favorite Senator by an astronomical margin. Maybe in 2020 he can put together a better performance.
