Kasich is a good guy, I like him a lot and the way he looks at things. He probably would be the best candidate to win out of both parties but he will probably be out after NH or SC at the latest.

I thought he was going to say something about what he did as Governor of Ohio or something.

Kasich is a sad, sad man. There's obviously a lot of anger and bitterness lingering in his soul so I'm glad the "nice guy" image quickly wore off and we got to see his true colors. He's really uncomfortable to watch and the people of New Hampshire need to put him out of his misery.

Kasich does have a temper that flashes from time to time. He didn't need to use the term "suck up" to make his point. He could have just said that sometimes the parochial interest needs to give way to the larger public interest, to fashion good public policy, like in being fiscally responsible while meeting key priorities.

The headline of this thread is hyperbolic and wrong it seems to me.

Yeah, bad headline.  Kasich was pulling a Christie.

Sad headline. Kasich is a really good guy. Would love to see him as The Donald's running mate.

I thought it was a pretty good retort to being asked to blatantly pander.

Yeah, this exchange seems like a positive moment for Kasich.

Kasich gained respect from the people in that audience due to his honesty and his powerful response. This should send him in the right direction. Christie, on the other hand, has tanking favorability ratings, and he would've gained more respect if he actually did mop up after the New Jersey flooding. Big mistake leaving early.
