Some articles say that Bush feels betrayed that his friend,  Marco Rubio ran for president the same year that he ran in 2016. Do you think there is any bitterness between them? Do you think their friendship is strained forever?

It was a little dumb of Bush to even run. He's gotta know it's an uphill climb for anyone with that last name to win again anytime soon.

Frustrated, because Jeb thinks he is more competent to be POTUS. But I don't think he dislikes him personally. Jeb is very frustrated in general these days. I certainly would be in his position, but then with his communication skills, I would hope I would have been perspicacious enough not to run in the first place.

I think the Bush name is the most overrated factor of Jeb's defeat, and may not even be a factor, since without the name I think he would've been a George Pataki tier candidate or worse. I think the name was a slight hinderance - but it was only that Jeb would have to work so much harder to overcome it, and I don't think he even set out to do that.

The name didn't hurt him, remember he was leading last year before Trump came in. He just isn't the best campaigner.

I can easily imagine Jeb being absolutely embittered by his experiences in the election and frankly for the above reasons I imagine he probably dislikes/hates Rubio even more than Trump

That he’s very very disloyal and selfish. And he’s actually right about that.

Jeb has no entitlement to the Presidency and Rubio doesn't owe him any loyalty. If Jeb can't win a primary, regardless of who his opponents are, then he wasn't meant to be the nominee.

Probably doesn't give that much of a s.hit about him judging by the fact that he and his people in Florida made up totally unsubstantiated rumors about Marco having an illegitimate kid and mistress, etc.

Politics is dirty but the Bushes are absolutely despicable human beings when campaign years roll around.

Bush should have listened to Romney. He told him he would have very little chance due to his last name this year. Romney realized even if he won the primary he couldn't defeat Hillary. If you read his comments about 2016 its very clear who he thinks can beat Hillary and expand the party and that is Marco Rubio. He may not have endorsed him but many of the backers and his supporters from 2012 are working and backing Rubio.

Romney IMO isn't endorsing yet because of his relationship with Christie and Bush. I believe he is waiting for this to become a three man race between Rubio, Cruz and Trump. Once that happens or once Bush and Christie drop out I wouldn't be the least surprised to see an endorsement for Rubio by Romney. Maybe after the Nevada primary and right before Super Tuesday.
