The big banks smear will live on, in spite of her brutal shutdown of it tonight, because it's central to Sanders' rationale for being in the race.
But the "I'm a true progressive and she is not" attack was introduced more recently.  And I think she did an effective job of shutting it down tonight, unloading a series of defenses.
Is Sanders done with the attack, or will he go out to another rally tomorrow and launch more progressive missiles?

Doubt it. The "I am a moderate" line from Clinton will be used over and over.
It's when Hillary asks Bernie if Obama is a progressive that there's a problem.

I don't even see why it matters. This keeps coming up and it was not relevant then and it's not relevant now.

Sanders and whoever else needs to just shut up about labels.

Definitely. I would find it hard to believe that you could watch the exchange between Clinton and Sanders and actually say that he made that case that she isn't a Progressive Democrat.

You have to incredibly stupid to believe she was a progressive if you look at her record. If people want to believe that, you are welcome.

Having said that, I thought she was very well prepared for the debate, she did incredibly strong in backing her up (Whether dropping name, twisting facts). If you make a strong well-prepared argument does not mean you are right. I congratulate Hillary for being a good VERY STRONG in this issue.

I think she has shut it down so you would not get this discussion but I doubt most progressive consider her a  progressive

Considering the fact that Hillary is continuing to claim to be a third term of Obama, who is a progressive on paper, but is forced to govern as a centrist, no, she is not.

What's most reprehensible is listening supposed progressives like jfern talking about her in a way that would make Hannity and Limbaugh proud. They have adopted every Fox News anti-Clinton talking point and seem unable to understand the ridiculousness of their situation.

Ah yes!  We've certainly been slinging around that ol' Fox talking point about the Clintons just not being liberal enough!  I remember, back in the day, of night after night of simultaneous in-air-fist-shaking with Hannity about Clintonian support for free trade and welfare reform and all the poors that have been hurt along the way.

Yeah, she's moved on to explaining $675K in speaking fees for three speeches she gave to Goldman Sachs. Of course, she can't be held responsible for accepting that money, given that this occurred before she decided to run for president, before all those sweet people begged her to get into the race.

Ok, will she be releasing the transcripts to those speeches? "I will look into that." Well, we'll just have to hang tight, won't we?

It's a shame this woman isn't being hired to run a used car sales operation, 'cuz she'd be really good at it.

She's running against a 75 year old self proclaimed "socialist" LOL. She can say whatever she wants during the primary but shes from the state of New York and is a big wall street backer and Goldman Sachs supporter. Theres nothing wrong with that but lets call it the way it is. She will be the nominee because she is the only hope at keeping the white house. She is very moderate, some could even argue her true and actual beliefs are slightly to the right on fiscal policies and slightly to the left on social policies.

When you get down to it, can't you say the same thing about Donald Trump? I think that's what President Carter was trying to say recently, that Trump is fairly moderate and would be willing to adjust his views and/or work with people who don't agree with him to get things done. So it'll be interesting if those two eventually get to talk to each other.

"Back in the day" (NAFTA, welfare reform), you were 7 and 10 years old, respectively.
