Bloomfield Hills obviously (hey BRTD, it is quite close to that cool hip hood known as Ferndale, where you would really want to live). Would you prefer to live in Flint BRTD if you had school aged kids?

Unless there's something seriously wrong there, I'd rather live where the water isn't poisoned.

You have an effing problem. Despite cops in Bloomfield, to my knowledge, being the worst, I'd be glad to have a house on a dirt road portion of Bloomfield. Nevertheless, Torie, speed limits on Woodward make travel, even to the beloved Ferndale, almost not worth it.

I already live about a half-hour's drive from Flint and have family who work there, but I'd have to say Bloomfield Hills.  Poisoned water or not, Flint is so poor and was rated the most violent city in the world per capita a few years ago.

Now if we were talking about Flint Township or Mt. Morris Township, that would be different.

Exactly.  If they don't die from drinking poisoned water, then they'll die from gunshot wounds.  Crime in Flint is insane.

No right minded person would live in the caustic ruins formally known as Flint. Maybe if this poll had Detroit instead of Flint it would be a more decent competition between dying city and mansion hideaway.

This can't be real.

Flint doesn't have a scene, does it?

Yes, Flint has a scene. That's why I voted for it.

So the point is that good people will live among the poor and bad people will live among the rich? Send me to Bloomfield Hills!

Bloomfield Hills

But I'd rather live in Flint than the garbage pile that is Livingston County, MI.

I've had the pleasure of living in an area of Oakland County not to far from ether and both places suck imo.

Flint is a crime filled dying city and Bloomfield Hills is just full of really rich people and nothing at all in terms of amenties(ex. no bars, stores, etc).

If I had a choice I'd go for a third option such as Troy, Rochester Hills, Royal Oak, Novi, or even Downtown Detroit.

Never been to either, but, after reading this thread, Bloomfield Hills sounds really nice, and Flint is about at the bottom of my list.  Wouldn't want to live in cold Michigan, though!!

I would be thrilled to be so fortunate as to live in a place like Bloomfield Hills.

Haha...Michigan is only cold in the winter.  The summers are actually quite nice.  Take it from a native--we aren't the frozen wasteland that the rest of the country thinks we are (except for the UP, of course, which is almost like Siberia).  If anything, Michigan is infamous for very fast-changing weather.
