Yes. It's hard to imagine how he could have done worse. I don't know if it will lead to a complete implosion, but it's extremely bad. And I mean, like, Rick Perry "Oops" levels of bad.

People will forget in a couple of weeks. But we all know the truth is out there. Current Rubio supporters and future Rubio settlers can't wish this away. Rubio is a nobody.

I wouldn't say it's over as the electorate are a fickle bunch but I'm less confident he's going to be the nominee.

Additionally, I'm a LOT more confident about Clinton's chances against him in the GE now that this narrative (something everyone on here noticed for ages) has been exposed publicly.

Rubio is falling into the same trap Walker did. He's a "compromise" candidate, in that he can appeal to both extreme conservatives and more moderate Republicans, but he's not the first choice of that many voters. He's also campaigning as the anti-Obama, and is lacking completely in substance. The field is smaller now, so he could still pull through, but he is and has always been an empty suit.

I think it has the possibility to be the "Dean Scream" of 2016. It makes an easy to understand, short, funny clip that the news media can play over and over and over and over.
