Why does Bernie refer to Hillary as "The secretary"?

That was her most recent official title. What I notice is that he looks like he really hates her in the debates. Of course there is civility, but some of his expressions seems to indicate there is some serious hate there. He really does not want her in this race and it's extremely clear.

Yes, and there are a lot of these kinds of threads. In fact, there are way too many threads on this particular forum, and good threads often drop do the second page and beyond. Obviously Sanders is treating her with respect; if he called her "Hillary" that would be a different matter.

Then why doesn't he called her "Secretary of State" Clinton? That's like calling David Cameron "Prime Cameron".

You can't just omit words willy-nilly.

No, it'd be like calling him "Minister Cameron."
