I'm still not ready to count Rubio out given the media hard on for the guy, but it should be Bush or Kasich. I don't think Christie has legs beyond NH, and I think Bush could at least compete in the south with Trump going forward, given Dubya's popularity, if the establishment lines up behind him.

I still don't see Cruz playing well in the carolinas.

It just can't be Rubio. Can you imagine him debating Hillary Clinton?

Rubio may have made one of the worst gaffes of all time last night, but I'm not quite counting him out yet.

It could still be Rubio, it could be Kasich, possibly Christie, it's unlikely to be Bush... or maybe none of them. If they all tie for third, and Cruz gets second, and then SC is another Trump first, Cruz second finish, this race really could become Trump vs. Cruz.

Probably Kasich, though part of me has always suspected that Jeb! is destined to end up as the last stand of the Establishment.

I don't think there will be one.  Rubio's gaffe was damaging but not campaign ending.  Prior to this he was starting to get a modest leg up on the rest of the establishment field.  The most likely result is that this rescrambles the establishment field with no clear leader, setting up an even longer protracted fight for who can be the establishment alternative to Trump and Cruz.

My previous assumption had been at least one of the establishment candidates would drop out after New Hampshire.  I still think that will happen but it seems less likely now.

I pretty much agree with this. There's going to be a massive virtual tie for second place in NH, which should set up Trump vs Cruz battles in SC and NV, causing the establishment candidates to fall even further behind.

He's certainly not a moderate, but he's definitely an establishment candidate for the purposes of this election.

I would not be surprised to see Jeb! pull a comeback.

Independents can vote in the NH GOP primary.  I bet when it's all said and done, Jeb! leads the Establishment candidates in REPUBLICAN votes.

I have a strange feeling it will be Bush, he looked very Presidential last night and played up his foriegn policy credentials.
Christie pimpslapping Rubio was epic, but he didn't really have another memorable moment.
Kasich's whole 'this debate is SO mean, can't we just be positive?' shtick wears thin imo, but it may play well in NH. I just don't get it.
