FQ. First of all, Bloomberg is a wonderful man who has done so many good things for this planet. Second of all, this was supposed to be a joke, and it's pretty funny one too.

He said this after spending $50 million of his own money on gun control efforts. He believes that he has earned a place in heaven for all of his charity work (100% of his net worth is going to charity after death), gun control efforts, etc.

I already hated Bloomberg. This quote doesn't help. He can't take away our guns and sodas. What stereotypes of Americans will be left?

FOR THE FIFTEENTH BILLIONTH TIME, BLOOMBERG DOESN'T WANT TO BAN SODAS. STOP CALLING IT A "SODA BAN", THAT'S INCREDIBLY MISLEADING.

Bloomberg wanted to bad very large cups of soda, not soda itself. I'm tired of the media referring to this as a soda ban. It was a not a soda ban.

The second part of my post was sarcastic. I do hate Bloomberg, though.

Anyway, HQ. Stop talking about "heaven" as if you're a white Christian, Bloomberg.

I'm not specifically talking about you. Misinformed people all over the Internet have this weird misconception that Bloomberg tried to ban sodas, which is incredibly false. I'm tired of the media referring to it as a soda ban. That's incredibly misleading.

Either way, this feels like the Christian politician version of the "In this moment, I am euphoric" quote. Therefore, HQ.

According to the Bible, a rich man can get into Heaven if he gives away all of his goods to the poor. Bloomberg is donating 100% of his money to charity after death.

And then read the last line. That definitely does NOT coincide with Bloomberg's attitude in that quote.

Michael Bloomberg is not viable.

And for OP being a Republican…Michael Bloomberg and his soft-drinks controversy, while he was still mayor of New York, should be a reminder that Bloomberg should definitely not be appreciated or supported by any self-identified Republican voter.

Exactly. Bloomberg's ego shows well. He thinks he's a greater person than most because of his influence and money. Guess what, that means nothing to God. We're all less than ants in comparison to us in comparison to us. And your money and influence doesn't matter. Bloomberg is as great in comparison to God as I am.

Bloomberg clearly is full of sin (can you get as much money as he has without doing so?) Of course so am I. But I put my trust and faith in the only sinless man who has ever lived and is my redemption. Bloomberg clearly does not.
