Unemployment numbers
Northeast 7.8% (down .3%)
With the BOOST Act starting to take effect, the economy of the Northeast has been making a slow recovery. Experts say that Governor Blair should only expect a larger drop overall.
Mideast 7.7% (down .1%)
Although spending much money on their recent recovery initiative, it seems that the Mideast has stalled in recovery, some economists have expressed their belief that their unemployment rate is going to drop quickly.
Midwest 8.6% (no change)
Lack of action has caused the economy to stall, the good news is the numbers didn't go up.
Pacific 8.8% (up .3%)
Now with the largest unemployment rate in the nation, some say that the Pacific can't be saved.
South 8.3% (down .2%)
Haslam's jobs creation bill has been successful thus far, the most important part is the website sejobs.gov, which has gotten 1 million visits since it's creation.
Nationwide 8.1%
Some in the Pacific has called for the federal government to intervene, only time will tell if they will.

Today's News...
In the Northeast, there have been some peaceful protests of the Refugee Assistance Act. Some 200 protesters have showed up in Philadelphia, and 120 in Boston. Although, not every protest was peaceful with some foreigners reporting to have received anonymous death threats.

In the Mideast, an activist has claimed to have seen the mistreatment of veterans in Mideast facilities, saying that they were "down right disgusting," and that Governor NeverAgain should "fix it, or resign."

In the Midwest, a man was barred from entering a grocery store because of a shirt that displayed a few guns and said "I believe in the second amendment." The creators of the shirt has seen a 9% increase in sales because of it.

In the South, a pro choice activist group has called for Speaker Haslam to resign. The group is reported to be planning political repercussions if he doesn't.

In nationwide news, the lack of action on Immagration, refugees, and ISIS has angered the electorate; some have simply let their anger be known on social media, while others have left the nation all together.

(Sorry, this one is short, updates will get longer and more informative in the future, right now I'm just trying to settle into my new role.)

Finally an active GM!!! What was that wonderful mans name who was wearing that shirt???

Thank you, and it's Eric Wilson.

Wonderful Enduro! Thank you so much for this update, I am glad you brought the issue of Veterans Affairs up to my attention, it will definitely be a major priority of my administration.

Thank you, and you're welcome.

Excellent, Enduro! This is exactly the kind of activity we need. I actually think the shorter updates might be preferable to long editorials (because, lets face it, barely anybody read those).

In the Mideast, an activist has claimed to have seen the mistreatment of veterans in Mideast facilities, saying that they were "down right disgusting," and that Governor NeverAgain should "fix it, or resign."
Are these problems similar to the ones were's seeing in real life, or something different?

First, thank you for the kind words.
Second, it's similar to what we've seen, but a little worse; such as refusal of service, and some racism. There are a few cases were a worker would be rude or worse to a veteran.

Glad to see that we have a GM once again!

As for the Northeast, peaceful protests are always fine, but death threats simply cannot be tolerated. I would be open to creating a bill to protect refugees from truly harmful protestors.

Glad to see that you want to take action on those death threats! Can't wait to see what you introduce into the assembly.

Today's news...
In the Northeast, the peaceful protests have increased, a 300 person demonstration has occurred at the historical site of Gettysburg. What is worrying the people is a refugee has been hospitalized, not clear yet if this is related to the recent death threats.

In the Mideast, the activist, Kaylee Hall, has stepped up her criticism of the state of Veteran affairs. Stating that her father died from a disease obtained overseas, and had not received help from anyone.

In the Midwest, no suspects has been found in Eric Wilson's murder. Meanwhile, gun enthusiasts want action, and so does the left, albeit in a different direction.

In the South, the pro choice group, Women United, has unleashed a series of ads spreading rumors about Speaker Haslam, amoung them were accusations of rape, lying, and stealing money from the government. They also released an ad proclaiming Assemblyman Steelers to be the next great politician for freedom.

In the Pacific, a police officer was shot off duty, he is going to make a full recovery and demands Justice. The 15 year old boy who shot him says he was only playing with the gun, and didn't mean to shoot him.

In nationwide news, a YouTube video has gone viral depicting a man getting beaten up for expressing isolationist views. The video has revised over 3 million views, and doesn't seem to be slowing down.

In some surprising news, NASA has sent in a plan to put a self-sustaining research base on Mars to President Griffin for approval. It would take about $100 billion to produce, and would be officially in business in early 2017; the plan calls for 8-10 brave individuals to leave the Earth. The plan includes a return trip should any supplies prove unsustainable on the planet, and includes enough backup food for the base that a rescue mission could happen before they run out.

Today's news...

In the Northeast, the authorities confirmed that the refugee recently hospitalized was attacked by a man who hates Muslims. This confirms that the hospitalization was because of the death threats.

In the Mideast, several veterans had a demonstration; in a VA care facility, every veteran got up and left at approximately 11:11 AM. Kaylee Hall has called for more peaceful demonstrations like this.

In the Midwest, still no leads in Eric Wilson's case, but Eric's brother, Daniel, has demanded someone pay. He started a Facebook page called "justice For Eric Wilson," and has gotten 1.8 million likes.

In the South, Women United has called for people to vote "nay" on the recent defund abortion companies bill introduced by Haslam. Threatening to bring harm to the Speakers family; a member of Women United left the group after hearing of this threat of violence. She plans on starting a new group.

In the Pacific, the police officer, in order to build bridges, had met with the 15 year old boy who shot him. He has offered to teach the child how to properly use a gun.

In nationwide news, while NASA waits anxiously for the go ahead on the Mars base, the YouTube video depicting an isolationist getting brutally beaten has gotten 6 million views. YouTube commenters are raging at the government for lack of action.

Sorry for the delay, here's the news,

In the Northeast, after another refugee was hospitalized, many begun demanding that Governor Blair do something.

In the Mideast, Governor NeverAgain has been met with appreciation for his words about veterans, Kaylee Hall has officially requested to meet with the Givernor personally to discuss policy.

In the Midwest, it has been revealed that Eric Wilson was a member of the notorious KKK for a short time back when he was 19.

In the South, Haslam's "go to hell" quote has become a rallying cry for individuals opposed to Women United, it was trending on Twitter for 5 hours after the quote was made. Many have called for legal action against the group, but Haslam has steadfastly refused.

In the Pacific, a demonstration of 200 individuals happened in LA to ask the federal government to step in, but later a demonstration of 220 had asked for the regional government to restart business in San Diego.

In nationwide news, the YouTube video of someone getting beaten for expressing his isolationist opinion has now reached 11 million views; in a response video, activist Kaylee Hall has asked the government to bring justice, saying that "someone will eventually seek justice, and if it's not the government, it'll be ugly."

Today, in the south, 3 officers were seen brutally beating an African American individual near a Church; one church goer, 21 year old Norman Johnson, saw the situation, and took action in order to protect this man. He hit one officer, and another promptly tazed him.

A business owner, David Williams, saw Norman getting tazed and the man bleeding on the ground, and got a couple of his friends; armed, they opened fire on the officers who took refuge in the Church. In the following firefight, one officer was injured and one of their opponents cut himself on glass.

Most of the Casulties came from those inside the Church, 2 dead civilians, while an additional 8 were injured.

Police arrived on the scene to see most of the people fled the scene, David Williams, Norman Johnson, and the 3 officers have been taken into custody for questioning. The man originally being attacked by the officers is currently in the hospital.

Before decided on where to direct collective outrage towards...why exactly did this occur? At first glance this seems like a terrible case of police brutality, but surely there was a reason, right? Not that it couldn't be a case of police brutality with a reason (from the information given, it's very unlikely the police are blameless here), but motives would be helpful.

It's a bit vague on the details, and while I suppose that's the idea (storytelling, you know), it seems rather confusing (who exactly was the guy being beaten? Who were the people who died? Etc.)
Conflicting reports, don't yet why the police officers were beating the man.

The guy was homeless, had no identification, we'll ask him when he's in recovery.
The people who died were regular church goers; one was named Tim Uno, was about to get married in 2 weeks, the other, Cecelia Jones, was a single mother of two.

Today's news...

In the Northeast, The End Threats Act has been passed, only time will tell if it decreases the number of threats.

In the Mideast, lack of action has caused veterans to call Governor NeverAgain "all talk, and no action."

In the Midwest, further investigation suggests an accomplice in the Eric Wilson case, many want the Midwest office holders to comment on this.

In the South, several Women United leaders have been arrested for threatening Haslam's family, will he press charges? Furthermore, the remaining leaders of the group, in hiding, have reportedly been planning a to fight back using the recent shoot out at the Church.

In the Pacific, several people have threatened to take over the capital of the Pacific and force lawmakers to do something. There is no sign of these threats being organized, but they may become organized over time.

In nationwide news, the YouTube video has reached 15.5 million views, now, news has came out that one man, who was an attacker, was hunted down and was beaten in a similar fashion. The video depicting this, was uploaded anonymously to YouTube and has 2.3 million views.

Today's news...

In the Northeast, most threats have ended, but a select few continue the threats anonymously.

In the Mideast, enlistments in this region are beginning to drop due to what people perceive to be mistreatment of veterans.

In the Midwest, no leads on the accomplice, but a Facebook group have started called "justice for Eric Wilson," and it's been gaining speed with 100,000 members.

In the South, the members of Women United have been released because of Speaker Haslam's refusal to press charges. The homeless man beaten by cops have succumbed to his wounds.

In the Pacific, some have called for the Pacific government to succeed in response to the federal governments response to the breakdown of the regional government.

In nationwide news, the isolationist had committed suicide, some say it's because of hate comments, others say it's because of governments lack of action.

New details about the creatively nicknamed Southern Church Shootout.

According to the police officers on the scene, the man had been asked to come in to answer some questions about a robbery that happened the previous day. Norman Johnson says the homeless man was attacked after asking for some change, he claims that the officer leading the attack, Officer Bill Ingham, has a history of terrorizing the area. David Williams says he saw the fight afterwords, and didn't know what caused it.

President Griffin has started his second term, here are some issues he'll have to deal with:

The Continuing War With ISIS
Despite the terrorists organization's loses in Iraq, they've become more active. An increase of fighters in Egypt has concerned some there, recent gains in Syria has tipped the war into their favor, and a man in Israel has been arrested for openly supporting ISIS and threatening to kill every Jew in Israel.

California's drought
The recent drought has caused a fight to break out in a supermarket over bottled water, police have regained order before anyone was hurt, but some question what will happen next.

The Church Shootout
No charges have been pressed, and many have demanded action, several people have been talking about organizing a riot. Some have been arrested, but it has only fueled the flames.
Some say there is a racism problem in the police force, others say there is a problem with the vetting process.

Veterans
Activist Kaylee Hall's recent actions related to veterans affairs has caused record low sign ups the Atlasian Military. What used to be an issue for Governor NeverAgain's administration is now a problem the entire nation feels.
In the Northeast, the recent move for more security has been met with extreme backlash, many say that the regional government wants an army, but not have to take care of the veterans. 64% of Northeast residents also see this as a step towards independence.

Refugees
Although death treats have been nearly vanquished in the Northeast, there are still some who do so anonymously. An alias, "Jimbo", is being used to continue death threats in the Northeast; Jimbo has been popping up in the South, and Pacific too.
Reported Jimbo letters by region:
Northeast: 1,023
South: 877
Pacific: 845
Mideast: 99
Midwest: 70

Women's United
This group has stepped up their attacks on South Speaker Haslam, and has been demanding President Griffin take action to "limit his tyranny"; the group has raised up $20 million for more ads, and are daring office holders to offend them.
Furthermore, they've tweeted a photo of the school Assemblyman Pingvin went to, the following statement went with it: "@Pingvin voted yes on defunding abortion clinics, it won't take long for us to find where you live"
The tweet has disappeared since.

Unemployment numbers:
Northeast: 7.4% (down .4%)
South: 7.9% (down .4%)
Midwest: 8.7% (up .1%)
Mideast: 7.4% (down .3%)
Pacific: 9.3% (up .5%)
Nationwide 8.1% (no change)

The Terrible State of the Atlasian National Broadcaster

Today, both the TV and radio part of the Atlasian National Broadcaster has seen record low ratings. The 1-2 pm hour of programming on television had gotten 0.11 million viewers; two hours later, only 34,000 listeners tuned into the radio station.
The average program on TV gets a 0.28 rating; on radio, their programming would have 57,000 listeners. In addition, donations are at a record low, next to no money has been raised to keep the network going; last year, at this point, there were $25,000 in donations, compared to $12,000 this year.
Several former employees stated they left because of "extended periods of time in which I wasn't paid", some current employees express a desire to leave because of this reason.

All of this, and the current head is asking for a budget increase to begin scripted programming; time will tell if this budget increase will be approved, and if it will increase the viewership. He's also currently asking to be able to sell advertising time.

When did Griffin call for increasing the budget of the ANB?

I meant the chair of the management board.

ISIS in Atlasia!!

Just as Governor Bessel takes office, ISIS militants revealed themselves in the Pacific region. About 20 men seized a Red Cross truck full of water, they proceeded to kill every Red Cross representative delivering the water. Although, it is unknown how many militants are in Atlasia, we do know that 20 soldiers were involved in the raid.

Many wonder why the militants revealed themselves now; why not attack the major population areas in the Northeast? We do not know, at this moment, what their end game is, perhaps their planning on a full scale invasion of the west coast, perhaps their trying to take advantage of this opportunity to shrink the population of their enemies.

Another question is unanswered; how long have they been here, and how long have they been planning this?

Atlasia reacts to terrorist attacks

President Griffin, Governor Bessell, Governor Blair, and more office holders have condemned the recent attacks on Atlasian soil by 20 members of the radical group ISIS; the attack, aimed to shorten the amount of water going to the Pacific region, left 4 members of the Red Cross dead. It also prevented over 40 gallons of water from reaching it's destination.

Many have responded with extreme hate, with the KKK seeing a resurgence, and the rise of "no Muslims in Atalsia", and "stop the refugees." One figure has risen as a leader of this movement; Jimbo, whose identity remains unknown.

The Pacific, Northeast, and South have all put their National Guard on high alert; plus, Senator POTUS has proposed letting the President have full control over a world wide operation to end the terror group.

ISIS itself have released an official statement.

(Translated from Arabic)
"This is just the beginning; we will bring you to your knees. Prepare accordingly for your deaths, and pray your heathen prayers to your heathen God."

Several citizens of the nation have responded;

"I ain't afraid of ISIS, and to show that I'll be moving to the Pacfic region, and I'm bringing my AR-15, and .45." Activist Kaylee Hall.

"I'll see them in hell." A construction worker in Los Angeles.

"Right now, we can't focus on revenge, we have to heal first. Let's pray. Dear God, we pray that you'll turn the hearts of ISIS, and that you'll be with those who have died in terrible act." A preacher based in Washington state.

The Red Cross has responded, also.

"For every gallon they steal, we'll send 4 more; we aren't going to let them scare us, we're Atlasians, and we don't get scared."
