The ratings will probably be adjusted upwards tomorrow, like they were for the ABC Democratic debate.  The early ratings for live prime time events like a debate don't necessarily reflect actual viewership in the Pacific and Mountain time zones.

Let's dispel with that fiction that Rubio's gaffe didn't matter because nobody watches the debates.

Well, it was scheduled only 5 days in advance, at Hillary's convenience.

Haha. Chuck Todd and Rachel Maddow are rigging it for Clinton!

Well, there were zero debates in the first 6 months of the campaign, which was beyond ridiculous. It would have been convenient for Bernie to have a debate then.

Jfern can discover a DNC-Clinton conspiracy at a church picnic.

But I thought that no one watched debates on Saturday nights?!?

This fiction must be dispelled with.

Saturday is the lowest-watched night on TV by a large margin.  Put a prime time debate on network television any other night of the week except perhaps Friday, and the ratings would be much higher.  Broadcast TV will likely outdraw any cable debate on a similar day of the week, too.

Right...but the broadcast networks don't want to air debates on non-Saturdays, because they don't want to preempt their existing primetime schedules.  The cable news networks of course are happy to put one on on any day of the week.

The final debate ratings were adjusted slightly upward to 13.335 million.
