A huge scam and giveaway to the drug companies that made it ILLEGAL for Med. D to negotiate with drug manufacturers and LITERALLY resulted in prices that are twice as high for taxpayers, all in an attempt to secure the elderly vote for Bush.

You can only have a real negotiation if there is a legitimate possibility of you walking away from the negotiation. Government programs like this preclude real negotiations, which is yet another reason why we need to privatize Medicare.

(Yes, I realize Trump often talks about saving massive amounts of money by "negotiating" Medicare drug prices, and that is one area where I disagree with him)
