I, and I imagine most forumites, are always on the hunt for good, high quality history books which are likely to surprise. What are y'all's favorites?

I'll start--Ordinary Men seems to me to be the best nonfiction book I've read on the Holocaust, and (as far as I can tell. I'm not an academic) it seems to have a lot of explanatory power regarding the actions of the perpetrators.
