The Democrats move westward yet again, with the states being: Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii all of which are hosting caucuses

With the race having lasted so long three-ways, each candidate is hoping to use this round of caucuses to gain an advantage. The coveted state is Washington, as that one has 101 delegates that are pledged and 16 unpledged...obviously too good to pass up.

The fiery Bryan continues to go all over the three states rallying for the common man. He endorsed the Pipeline through the Arctic Wildlife Refuge at a rally in Fairbanks as that "gives jobs"...this has garnered him fierce criticism from both Humphrey and McGovern's campaigns respectively. In Hawaii, he vows he will do more to assist the homeless population in Honolulu and grant more rights to the native population on Niihau. Finally in Washington he has been seen rallying all over the Eastern side.

Humphrey has by contrast mostly focused on really getting turnout in the big cities, Seattle, Anchorage, and Honolulu...the latter two he is using mostly the campaigning of local big names such as Daniel Inouye and Mark Begich to do most of his campaigning, as Washington is ultimately the big focus.

Finally there is McGovern, his strategy is a bit of hybrid, he hopes to manage a solid build on the liberal base in Seattle, but he also has been trying to pick up normal socialist votes by sometimes using "revolution" in his speeches. But he has done some stumping on the other side of the Cascades too, calling for more farm subsidies. In Alaska, he has mostly stuck to the countryside, trying to take up the native vote, though he did make a stop in Anchorage. But in Hawaii, he had Patsy Mink campaign for him.

In a shocking outcome, Humphrey's strategy ended up working best. He ended up taking Washington quite securely, put up a decent showing in Alaska, and managed to defeat Bryan by razor thin margins in Hawaii, despite focusing almost entirely on Washington. Naturally, many of the talking heads who called for Humphrey to drop out have either vanished or backed down entirely.

McGovern managed to defeat Bryan in Alaska and respectably compete in Washington, though he didn't really get too far in Hawaii.

Finally Bryan managed to remain competitive everywhere with no weak spots, but ultimately he ended up bested by Humphrey and Bryan in all three states.

Ultimately the day was Humphrey's, with McGovern taking Alaska only as a consolation prize
