Trump is basically saying "We are gonna solve everything, it will be so great. I'm the best person ever created by god." How is that a political agenda ? I never really listened to him up until now, but it's really appalling.

At least he got second. Let's not forget Rubio's "coronate me!" 3rd place speech.

I think that's the idea. An actual political agenda would alienate too many people. If you can convince people that you're great by simply saying it, you'll probably win.

"Show don't tell" isn't always true in politics, sadly.

Anyone with more historical knowledge than myself, when was the last time someone who has never held a political office won a primary? Has there ever been an example?
Washington, Taylor, Grant, Taft, Hoover, and Eisenhower won the presidencies.
Washington was a delegate to the Constitutional Convention, over which he presided.

Washington, Taylor, and Grant never won a primary. I'm not sure about Taft - in 1912, I think Theodore Roosevelt won all the primaries, but lost at the national convention.

I do not see how Rubio breaks out of 5th place.  Bush's hope for 3rd place would mostly rest on Dover.

Kasich looks like a decent human being, promoting hugs and all. I didn't think there were any left in the GOP. Not seeing him going anywhere from now on, but he seems decent enough.

There were no primaries until around 1900.
Concerning Trump, while I agree with him on some of his stances, such as support for lower immigration and lower, but not flater, income taxes, I think he's going to have a tough time when he's facing only one or two candidates in the nomination fight, and in the general.

Rubio gave a speech, saying out-loud how disappointed he is in himself.
