Yes, that dumbf[inks] will never hold political office ever again once his Senate term ends. He might try to do something like run for Governor in 2018...and then crash because no one will take him seriously and he will be thought of as a pathetic joke eternally.

He tried for the top spot far too soon. However, he's pretty young. I wouldn't say it's over just yet.

His trustworthiness numbers have crashed in Florida, as well as his approvals and the all important "cares about people like me" category. He won't win there in 2018 and he won't win the nomination.

He's got a one way ticket to K Street and maybe an ill-advised and destined-for-failure run for Congress when he's 72.

No, he still has a future and I still think he'll be President one day. Sadly it's likely not this cycle.

He might be.  They really need to get the other establishment candidates out of the race, soon.  They are dividing up the vote, while Trump cruises along with his 20 to 35%.

Right...cause all of Cruz's votes would go straight to the establishment...

No, Rubio will run for Governor in 2018 and lose the primary to some tea party up and comer because he's seen as an empty suit establishment stooge. Sweet irony.

He's a young guy who had a bad week in a national campaign. The potential candidates for statewide office in Florida aren't necessarily going to be on the level of the opposition here.

Rubio should have just endorsed Jeb and then gone right back to the Senate. Shouldn't have run until 2020 or 2024.

The thing is, there are already two statewide officeholders who have been preparing for this race for years. From what I've been hearing, Adam Putnam has already nailed down commitments from the establishment while Jeff Atwater has been getting a lot of the Tea Party people revved up to support him. Where is Rubio, who never had much moneyed Florida support ANYWAY, supposed to get his resources and organization from? His support came from being a not-Crist Republican, not his own popularity; now that the party has left him behind what will he have left?

The people of Florida know he's not interested in actually serving them after his transparent ambition was on full display this year so there's no point in electing him over other dedicated public servants.

Nationally he's clearly finished.

Time for a career change.
