If we have the draft at all, then women should be required to join it as well. Equality does not mean legally-ingrained favoritism.

Even ignoring points about the morality of the draft (where I stand there is quite clear) or the effectiveness of the draft with the modern military (once again where I stand is quite clear), there's also the fact that Selective Service is absolutely pointless in 2016, since the needed information can be obtained quite easily and is already frequently used every time a credit check or employment background check is ran. Plus no one ever updates their address on Selective Service for that matter either, meaning it's even less effective. There's literally not a single reason I can think of for keeping it, and the fact that it's in place to put into place something that'd be quite immoral and and needless is icing on the cake.

I mean a lot of the 'no' respondents probably think the draft should be abolished.

It's more important to abolish the draft than to get women to register for it, anyway, in terms of legislative priorities.
