Opinion of the Atlas Forum community as a whole?

Too statist, and too prone to childish discussions, but a pretty good place nonetheless.

Has been declining dramatically for the past year or so.

Since May particularly. I wonder why that is.

It's a great place unless you take it seriously. That's the key to probably every internet community. I've over-serious'd myself out of some places in the past--I've had a better time with this forum due to taking it less seriously.

Also, I'd say that "don't feed the trolls" is an important piece of advice, too. But I often don't follow it. For some reason feeding trolls is often a cathartic experience for me.

And unlike most other forums, we're small enough that you can actually sort of know most of the posters.

Yep, this is another good thing. Everyone who's here often knows everyone else who's here often--at least as a passing acquaintance, if not a friend.
