This campaign is about to get very, very ugly on the Democrat side.

He's clearly a Hillary HACK from the evil, CORPORATIST neoliberal New York Times!  If only his people were better educated, they would understand that Bernie will singlehandedly uplift them through white liberal magic.

This kind of hateful trash is becoming so popular on the left.  It makes me want to vomit.
Thank god for Michael Bloomberg.

I agree with this. Let each person decide who to vote for.

However, this also applies to Hillary supporters.

The fact that this columnist is using a variant of the term 'mansplaining' takes away a lot of credibility.

I'll just say, 0% of black voters will be swayed by someone saying, "If black people just knew more," which is something I regularly see from Sanders supporters on Atlas and elsewhere.

It's never a good strategy to give lectures to voting demographics that are not favorable to your campaign.

There's nothing wrong with the term "mansplaining."

I think Ta Nehisi Coates endorsing Sanders will have a much more desired effect on the black community.

The truth of the matter is, Sanders has a better record and better policy proposals regarding the issues that blacks care about.  And the article is right... nobody should be condescending.  But encouraging black people to research the candidates and decide for themselves is certainly not wrong in and of itself.

If he doesn't explicitly mention African Americans in every speech, he's ignoring Black issues. If he explicitly mentions African Americans in every speech, he's "Bernie-splaining". It's clear Bernie could do nothing to please the people who write articles like this, so he shouldn't try.

No one is criticizing Bernie for Bernie splaining. Charles is criticizing his supporters for patronizingly assuming Black voters are ignorant and would only fall for him if they only weren't so ignorant.

Holding Q&As on how to talk to black women doesn't help.

Bernie Sanders is a condescending individual who does nothing but lecture those who disagree (or agree, for that matter) with his views. No surprise his supporters would emulate him.

that's a breitbart link, so the logical conclusion is to assume the opposite is true

This I think is a fair statement. He lectures but he doesn't lecture based on race.

Technically not an endorsement from Coates.

Way to actually read the article.

I'm fairly sure that "I'm voting for Sanders" counts as an endorsement of Sanders, no?
