I'm seriously asking; where is all this money and organization coming from? Rubio & Bush have been planning to run just as long as Cruz and they have nowhere near as organized a campaign as Cruz. And everyone in the political community hates Cruz, also. How did he get a maverick campaign?

Cruz is a highly intelligent, hard-working and skilled politician.

So basically the Anti-Rubio.

Cruz is the only generic Tea Party/Freedom Caucus Republican in the race.

It's been documented that he's a great admirer of Obama's ground game strategy in his elections wins and modelled his own senate election win on it. He even handed out copies of Plouffe's book to his staffers as a Christmas present.

He's put in the hours and money early on to set up a similar campaign infrastructure relying on grass-roots enthusiasm and just like Obama's did in 08, it's starting to bear fruit.

Ultimately, much of the campaign rests on the candidate.  Bush and Rubio's failures had nothing to do with their campaign organization, and everything to do with the candidates themselves.

What Cruz has done is hook up the Huckabee-Santorum evangelical coalition with tea party grassroots fundraising.  Carson has excellent fundraising as well, but like with Bush, all the money in the world can't save a poor candidate.

Huckabee and Santorum had horrible fundraising and therefore nonexistent infrastructure.  Cruz has been able to keep pace with and/or outraise the establishment donor networks, and has a voter coalition that could challenge the establishment coalition.  It was a very smart strategy, but unfortunately for him Trump decided to crash the party.

He's thinking ahead of everyone else on infrastructure and how to get there. Rubio and Bush have a lot of resources but they honestly waste those resources, hoping that they will receive the mantle of the infamous "establishment" and the rest is history. TRUMP doesn't really need or use the campaign infrastructure, as seen by his YUUUGE win in New Hampshire. Quite simply - Cruz is the only one even trying to build up a lasting political coalition that could win him the nomination.

He's very disciplined, beyond his intelligence. Pity about the other flaws about him.

It seems like just focusing on the party's hardcore members is the better strategy for this primary season.    Trying to appeal to all groups like Walker or Rubio is kind of a hard path to take.    Cruz just riles up his base and gets a core group of supporters and then can focus his ads and messages more keenly to them.

Cruz is dangerously smart. It's too bad he's the personification of evil otherwise.

He is smart and is a good organiser, no question of that.

How did you reach into the future to get a picture of TRUMP reacting to Cruz locking up the nomination?

He combines a LOT of money from donations with a solid mix of the Tea Party, Establishment, and Evangelical base. I saw a piece on MSNBC once about the Cruz operation in Iowa and it just amazed me. If the liberals had somebody like that I would say screw the presidency, anoint that genius king.
