If it's an establishment candidate, yes. If not, then of course not.

I would assume the GOP were playing at some sort of Producers like scam if that happened.

Depending on who, I'd lean yes. His imagine has been rehabilitated over the last few years, and he's very popular amongst most Republicans now.

If it's Trump or Cruz though, I'd say no since he's said he doesn't like Cruz and I highly doubt he likes Trump given the Donald's criticism of him.

Sure, unless it's Trump.

Yes, unless Donald "Bush did 9/11" Trump wins the nomination. 8 years of Obama did wonders for Bush's popularity.

He's still at a net negative. There's a reason why, so far, TRUMP's attacks on W. have actually helped him not hurt him.

I lean toward yes, but this is a strange period of hatred for the establishment so who knows.
Did Bush 43 speak at the 2012 GOP convention?  I'm pretty sure he spoke at the 2008 convention, although it was probably not something the McCain campaign relished.
Bush's 2nd term was a disaster, people lost a lot of money.  How bad was it?  We almost lost General Motors.

For the 2012 GOP convention, Bush 43 and Bush 41 provided a pre-recorded video where they both praised Romney. Neither were physically present at the convention.

In 2008, Bush 43 was supposed to be physically present and was supposed to give a speech. Hurricane Ike, however, forced him to be elsewhere, so he gave a live speech via satellite.

Thank you, that is interesting.  I think we may see something like that again if it's Rubio or Kasich.
If Jeb gets the nomination, he might show up and give a speech.  If Cruz or Trump, maybe nothing at all.

I'm pretty sure The Donald won't allow the man who did WTC and launched the horrendous Iraq War to speak at his convention.

The GOP is actively trying to revise and rehabilitate Bush 43's standing.  Bush 43 will be a speaker, and he will be enthusiastically received when he does.

I don't think it would be the smartest move on the GOP's part to give him time at the mic...

For the GOP, it's one of those things that you have to get it done and get it over with.  It's not like he's LBJ at the 1968 or 1972 convention, or Grover Cleveland, a Democratic President poles apart from William Jennings Bryan, his party's nominee.  Bush 43 is in line with today's GOP, and to deny him a spot begs too many questions.  The GOP now needs to embrace and revise his legacy.

They should go right ahead. It'll certainly get the news cycle's attention. Give Dan Quayle and Sarah Palin primetime slots while they're at it.

Only if Jeb were the nominee. So, no, he won't.

He might. Probably on a Monday night in Cleveland so that it does not get media attention and overshadow the ticket.
