Congrats, Kal!  Be sure to tell us where to get it when it comes out. Smiley

Sure.

The publisher just accepted my novel (the one I wrote in English).

Best news I've ever received.

Awesome man! I'll try to read it when it comes out.

Many of the emotions associated with my long-term unrequited crush have started hitting hard again recently. I will probably never be in a romantic relationship...

Just take your time. There are moments like this when you think "won't happen ever again".

There never was a relationship, and this has been going on in some form back far enough that I was a completely different person. This is just the pain resurging.

OK, I think I can understand that, from my own experience, as well. Just take your time.

I know how you feel. I've had similar issues (although I did have a relationship with mine). You'll get past it, and you'll find someone eventually. The worst thing you could do is try to convince yourself you won't, because in all likelihood it would just nurture a self-fulfilling prophecy.

As minuscule as it sounds I really don't think there's a worse feeling that knowing that a long term friendship is beginning to drift apart; I know it's just part of moving away from the teenage years but this is a guy who I I've pretty much loved for the last 7 years of my life. I know it's an unhealthy relationship, but still feels sh**t

Just saw a man driving next to us, wearing a red coat and hat, with a real white beard. Right as he went on an exit, "Here Comes Santa Claus" started playing on the radio.

I don't feel comfortable disclosing the publisher (an American company, of course) before it's more or less finalized. And the process was very easy, actually.

So my migraines have become a daily struggle now. This is a terrifying development.

If you're feeling adventurous, the hallucinogens LSD and Psilocybin (mushrooms) are known to cause sometimes significant reductions in migraines. Apparently the dosages are also low enough where you don't actually have to go tripping out to get the benefit. Maybe you can find a program that offers it in a legal way or find a medication that has the alkaloids (I'm sure they are out there) in them.

Apparently I've spent ~18% of my waking hours in 2016 listening to Spotify. (That's ~62 days, and 89,000 minutes.)
