He was always conservative, but now he seems to be parroting whatever comes across his gaze, which I guess is par for the course among some avid, opinionated Facebook posters. I dunno. I don't have a problem with conservatives in general in regards to dating (unless they are really politically-inclined, because I am too and it probably wouldn't work in the end), but Trump is a different deal to me. You don't have to be a bigot or a pervert to support him, but by doing so you are implicitly stating it's not a deal breaker to be a bigot or sexual predator. From my perspective I want nothing to do with that.

The last 4 months have flown by so fast and I'm glad. 2016 has been a year of extreme ups and downs and I'm looking forward to a fresher start in 2017.

Ohh well I mean friends/family is one thing, intimate relationships are another. I know some Trump supporting people, and I have a friend up north who is one, and they usually have some at least understandable (if not weak, to me, but then again I'm biased here) reasons even while being repulsed by him personally. But as a partner? Hell no. Trump is just such a uniquely awful person.

I could probably go on for several paragraphs about this, but suffice to say, I don't want a partner who even passively supports sexual assault, bullying disabled people (or anyone else) or scamming hard working people to make a few extra bucks. So far, I've yet to hear an excuse that works for me on how voting for him doesn't do that. But, I'm always open to one should it find its way to me!


@SunriseAroundTheWorld: aren't we all! Perhaps the lack (or smaller amounts) of divisive politics next year should give us all some breathing room.

Yeah, looking up exes online is never a healthy thing.  That's never stopped me from doing it, of course.

(My last ex - the goth girl from LA I've mentioned here a couple times - could never hold a relationship for more than a few months, and so far she's had about four boyfriends since I found out she was using me as a side-boy.  Sad.)

Got sad drunk for the first time in a long time last night only because I was apparently making an ass out of myself in front of the girl I like. A friend stepped in and shook me straight and I sobered up quickly, but not before feeling like a total idiot. She didn't seem to notice apparently.

Came out as trans to my mom last month. She kept misgendering me anyway, so until she asked me about my sexuality on Thursday (apparently, being trans creates a conflict of interest with liking ladies), I was semi-convinced that it may have just been a dream.

How conservative/liberal are your folks?

My mom was a Christie/Sanders/Johnson/Clinton voter (read: said nice things about Christie in 2015 (calling him "not your generic old white guy Republican" or something along those lines), voted for Sanders in the Dem primary, considered Johnson due to disapproval of Trump and Clinton, but came home for the latter in the end) and my dad seems to be a centrist. Almost voted for McCain in 2008, Actually voted for Obama in 2008/2012, apparently wrote-in in 2016 while being staunchly anti-Trump.
