I move into my apartment at school today. I'm nervous for the actual adult responsibilities, but I'm hoping things go better for me than they did last year.

My girlfriend (from Chicago) is likely going to be in town for when Being as an Ocean and Hundredth are playing here. And then she found out Hatebreed who she used to really be into (I didn't even know they were still together), are playing two nights earlier at the same venue...

Fun fact, when I was a college freshman I used "Hatebreed sucks" as a screen name on an Internet forum. So I never dreamed I'd possibly end up seeing them....with a girl who was at that time in the 6th grade.

Hundredth puts on such a great show. Wish I could see them again. Also, Hatebreed is such a guilty pleasure. I rarely listen to them anymore, but I jammed them a lot when I was in middle school.

I'm currently taking care of a friend's cat in my apartment. He's very small and energetic and kept me up all night because he kept jumping on top of my dresser, which has my computer and record player on it. He's a nice boy, but this is my first time ever having an extended interaction with a cat so I didn't expect to be losing sleep like I did. I have him for two more days.

My friend picked up her cat this morning. Last night I noticed he chewed through one of my vinyl record jackets (for one of my favorite records) and I was a little upset. It's not bad, but it's noticeable. I guess I'm not cut out to care for a kitten.

I did my first broadcast of the new semester on my radio show last night and it felt great. So happy to be back in my element.

Lol, so I asked out one of my close friends, who said yes, only to be officially ghosted by this person two days later.

Ayyyy #SunriseGotNoGame #OrFriends #BasicAtlasPost

Sorry to hear about that. I've been crushing majorly hard on my best friend for about a year now, and while she knows and all of our mutual friends agree that we act like a couple, she has consistently gone for one night stands with shallow boys, only to text me in the morning about how much she regretted doing it and "if only boys liked me" blah blah blah. Shit sucks.

As for R2D2, if he has feelings for his friend, he should try to have a serious conversation and see what she has to say about it. If she's not interested, that's just how it is and there's no point in continuing to obsess about it. I'd hope he still would value her friendship as such, though, otherwise he was an awful friend to begin with.

I value her friendship more than anything. I've tried repeatedly to show her that I have really significant feelings, and that I think I'd be like a good match with her or whatever, but it's to no avail. I've accepted that. The problem is that, considering we're in college, she then goes and has...relations...with boys at parties, texts me the next morning (because I don't go to said parties) about how much she regrets it, and then proceeds to tell me that boys don't like her. Just the other day she told me she feels bad because she feels like others judge her because she doesn't feel the same way about me that I feel about her, which is probably one of the most insulting things anyone has ever said to me. Also, because she is literally my best friend, and I'm hers, we tell each other everything. So after I got done telling her how much I love her and how much she means to me the other night, she transitioned into talking in explicit detail about what her and a dude did the other night when they hooked up. Granted, she acknowledged the juxtaposition was awkward, but because I'm the only person she can vent to, I let her. I let her feel proud of herself for her exploits (because she's a very shy person, so these types of things help her to come out of her shell) but in all, while I do care about her very much, and I do value her friendship, and I wouldn't trade her for the world, it's very frustrating to have to basically watch as she has one night stands with dudes who have absolutely zero substance (I know these dudes, they're practically brain dead with no personality) only to wake up in the morning, tell me she regrets it, and then proceed to ask why boys don't like her.

TL;DR R2D2 white knights, fails, is a cuck.

Today I got into an argument with one of my professors about Infowars. He tried to argue that writing people off as "conspiracy theorists" is a tool that the powers that be use to keep people in line. As if to imply that I'm trying to appease "the man" by calling Alex Jones (and, more specifically in this case, Paul Joseph Watson) nucking futs.

I for one am terrified at the prospect of Infowars viewers teaching college students.

He wasn't even showing an Infowars related video, it was PJW talking about why pop music is vapid, and I raised my hand and said "I'd take what this guy says with a grain of salt, because he's literally nuts"

Congrats! In just a few short years you'll be a socialist. You're on the right route for sure. I'm eagerly awaiting your posts in mid 2019 blasting President Clinton as a "neoliberal shrill". Tongue

edit: you're probably going to have to change your username now, lol.

You'll become a Socialist and then you'll become a "pragmatic progressive with strong socialist leanings" if you're anything like me.

Having 20RP12 as my forever username is a major cringe lol. At least R2D2 sounds cool.

I'm going as a sexy Ken Bone for Halloween this year.

I'm going as a guy in a black mask with a cat in the hat hat and a scythe.

Aka I went to Party City and picked things that were on sale because I have no money.

Apparently I got extremely drunk last night and ate 20 barely-microwaved pizza rolls, proceeded to vomit on my bathroom floor, and then text my ex-girlfriend that I missed her

Anyone who actually leaves the country over the election of anyone not named David Duke honestly is a huge overreacting pussy. Being my friend on Atlas or real life will not spare that judgement. If you leave the literal country over this, then I hope you stay in Canada.

Frankly dude, this is a real asshole way of putting it. I agree with the sentiment, but especially when Scott explained that the election wasn't the only factor for looking into it, your way of putting it is a little extreme.

In Lithuanian, a turkey is called "kałakutas"... but you need to have basic Polish knowledge to get this.

The only Polish I know is "dzien dobry" and "cheeki breeki iv damke" (which i'm pretty sure isn't even really Polish, but I hear it in a lot of internet memes)

I can smell food from my room, which means shyt's about to go down. I'm hungry and ready to tear it up. Also, what's up with the Detroit Lions?

I'm sorry as well, Max. It's good that you were still able to find things to laugh at through it all. I know I'll be devastated when my dog passes. I'd rather not be home when she does, honestly.

I just had a mental breakdown and flipped my s*** on a bunch of friends and co-workers and I feel horrible.

Have done this more than once. You're only human. Don't beat yourself up about it. Apologize and explain that you were just having a bad day. People are forgiving. Hope you're alright.

I'm good at parts 2 and 3.

Got sad drunk for the first time in a long time last night only because I was apparently making an ass out of myself in front of the girl I like. A friend stepped in and shook me straight and I sobered up quickly, but not before feeling like a total idiot. She didn't seem to notice apparently.

My novel will be released sometime in the spring. They decided to split it into two volumes.

Dude you have no idea how freaking excited I am for this!

Me too. I'm gonna learn how to read for this.
