I've read on r/sandersforpresident and r/politics that a lot of people are considering writing in Bernie Sanders in the event that he loses the nomination.

Back in 2008, Ron Paul supporters got him on the ballot in Montana and Louisiana, along with write in status in California among other states. This was without any support (or approval) from the Paul campaign. Will we see something like that happen again in 2016 for Bernie Sanders?

Rocky Anderson's Justice Party has already endorsed Sanders and had ballot access in 15 states (at least one of which wasn't under the Justice Party, but the Oregon Progressive Party) in 2012.

Paul broke 2% in Montana in 2008. I doubt that it will make much of a difference, but it's something I got to thinking about.

A situation similar to Paul probably wouldn't occur after Sanders actively campaigns for Clinton during the final few months of the 2016 election.

I'd think Bernie picks up more write-ins than a candidate on the ballot in NH. Before you ask, VT doesn't usually tabulate write-ins for candidates not seeking such a thing

Eugene McCarthy supporters tried putting him on the ballot in several states, and he rejected all the overtures in 1968. Not sure if Sanders' name is on the ballot in places requiring approval.

I have long suspected that the whole Sanders campaign is just a ploy to provide him with a steady supply of young brains to feed on to keep him alive.  Now, what were you talking about?
