The Libs are the most coherent.

We have diverse groups of both Reps and Dems, but I narrowly give it to the Dems.  Really could  go either way.

I'd say the Democrats are the most diverse(populists, socialists, communists, moderates, and whatever the hell opebo is - they're all over the damn place), and the Libertarians the most coherent.

Who the Hell answered this poll?  The Republicans are clearly far more diverse than the Democrats.  Look at the difference between Josh22-me-KEmp is a huge jump, ideologically speaking.

Which really is not that big of a jump.  Look at the political compass scores.  We cover all but the bottom Left quadrant, which is where the Democrats are, far for, most prominant.

Al and opebo are both socialists. Their economic views are, I imagine, very similar.

I don't inhabit the bottom left quadrant; though, it seems to be pretty much the Democrats domain on the political compass; while you'll find most Republicans on the economic right of the compass though split between authoritarian and libertarian wings

I think we are both big tents to some degree - but it amuses me when Opebo tells me to join the Religious Party, since I happen to be, shock horror, a mainstream Protestant, who is MILDLY authoritarian on SOME social issues while, simultaneously, being pretty tolerant

No. They're not.

Actually, we have the top right quadrant too; I believe that both Sam Spade and Gustaf are in that section.

The Republicans on the forum tend to be capitalists with moderate social views, with a few exceptions. The Dems are probably more diverse.

The Libertarians lack anyone who strikes me as out of their mind, so they get the most coherent award.

I don't know of anyone in the Democratic Party here that actually wants him in the party.

Where do you get that idea?  Well, yes,  there both left economically on a simplified political compass axis.  There's still a big difference between the two.

I'd say both parties are equally diverse on the forum.

There are conservative Democrats and some extreme liberals, and I'm not even counting opebo as a Democrat.

Among Republicans, there is a similar ideological spread.  I am probably right in the middle of the Republican pack, more conservative than angus, as an example, but less conservative than Hitchabrut and Jake.

Dems.:  Diverse--we love to lose elections by being "principled"
Reps.:  Coherent--proof that the ends justify the means
