That depends on the outcome of the 2012 election. If the Democrats win again, then the 2016 nominee will obviously be Joe Biden, except if he chooses not to run. If he does not run, or if the Republicans win 2012, then there will be a huge amount of Democratic candidates. I suppose that most of the people on this Web site would prefer that it be Mark Warner. Wink

If Obama is successful (I believe that he will be) Hilary will run without serious competition.  Even Biden who would like to run will step aside.

By then, it will be time for a new generation of up and coming Democrats to seize control of the party.

I think the Vice Presidency will be Joe Biden's last stand. He will be almost as old as McCain in 2016 and has no intentions of running.
