I actually think that's one of the best ads of the season. It's simple, yet effective. Although it seems like it won't be all that effective to people over the age of 35. It'll be interesting to see if they come out with some more mainstream ads.

That was a really really good ad. Interesting though that in 2 minutes the word Libertarian is never mentioned......

Holy sh-t, this might be one of the best political ads I've ever seen. I was almost in tears at the end. The contrast she was able to illustrate and the way she raised the stakes here... it's pretty profound.

I don't think it's all that effective. What our children hear from Trump compared to...Grand Theft Auto, the rest of the violence, murder, language on all of TV and Movies that they watch daily, all of the perversion they are exposed to on the internet.

As if we live in such a careful, principled society and Donald Trump is the one ruffling everyone's feathers with his foul language. And Hillary is the one who will protect them, she who is married to the devoted Bill who has not so much as looked at another woman in 30+ years of marriage.

Trump is no saint, but you sure as hell don't get the high road here Hil.

Incredible Clinton ad. Trump is going to get ripped apart

Title: Role Models

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrX3Ql31URA

This is the first of Clinton's recent ads to be publicly available on her YouTube Channel.  Pro-Clinton Priorities USA has had a few ads over the past three or so weeks while I've been slacking off due to the lack of new TV ad videos online:

-For America is a :30-second ad featuring Major General Paul Eaton saying Donald Trump doesn't have the temperment of judgment to be our commander-in-chief.
-Greater Fathers is a :15-second ad on Donald Trump's hands-off approach to fatherhood, not changing diapers or taking care of the kids.
-Greater Women is a :15-second ad featuring Donald Trump's inartful comments about women, from the blood coming out of her wherever line to it's hard for a flat-chested woman to be a 10.
-Unfit is a (now-dated) attack on Donald Trump for supporting Brexit.
-It's Very Hard to be a 10 is an ad contrasting Trump's it's hard for a flat-chested woman to be a 10 comment with his comment that he gave former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski a 10, ending with Hillary Clinton cackling.

Anti-Clinton Rebuilding America Now PAC also released a :30-second ad within the past 3 weeks:
-It Takes Two attacks Hillary Clinton calling Bill Clinton's accusers loony toons and ran the White House war room against them, despite tweeting that every survivor of sexual assault deserves to be believed when discussing Bill Cosby.

You've just compared the language and messages of a possible POTUS to GTA III.

If you are so jaded yourself to fail at seeing an unfathomable difference. You are indeed the perfect Trump supporter.

Anti-Clinton Rebuilding America Now PAC released 4 new ads to their YouTube page this evening:

-The :30-second I Did Not contrasts Bill Clinton's "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" speech with Hillary Clinton's statements that she did not receive or send classified e-mails.
-The :30-second Breeding Ground blames Hillary Clinton for creating a new ISIS breeding ground in Libya after "Hillary's War" there - and when things went wrong, the ad claims Clinton walked away to protect her political career.
-The :30-second Outsourcing uses a clip of Hillary Clinton giving a paid speech in India stating that there is no to effectively restrict outsourcing, to which the Indian moderator responds "That's good news to a lot of us".  The ad ends with as the statement "She's earned India's trust" appears on the screen.
-The :60-second America Soaring claims that Trump will use American steel and American workers to Make America Great Again.

Not that I'm aware of.  Best I can tell, the Trump campaign hasn't put any new TV ads with the required oral candidate approval statement on their YouTube page, but the Trump campaign wasn't the greatest at doing that during the primaries, either.  They have put a few web videos up, but I don't think they were TV ads.  In fact, I don't think they've run any ads since Indiana.

That Bill/Hillary ad was the best out of all of them, although had the potential to be as great as this Whitman/Schwarzenegger ad from 6 years ago. There's endless footage of the two of them saying similar language in similar situations, hammer the point home instead of comparing E-Mails to blowjobs. At least use multiple clips

And all these "Morning in America'-style ads for Trump are gonna be so perplexing to see for the next 4 months

Also quite laughable of an ad, because not only is it trying to compare Trump to a hard rightwinger like Goldwater, it is implying that Hillary Clinton can be compared to LBJ, which is even more laughable.

Remember also that LBJ was a fairly racist man himself, not one you would wish to compare yourself to like this ad does.

http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/lyndon-johnson-civil-rights-racism

Give me a racist that is willing to fight his own wing of his own party, tooth and nail, to bring civil rights and voting rights to people who have been disenfranchised for centuries. Actions speak louder that words. Lincoln himself had some unsavory viewpoints on race, but his actions are much more important.

You are attempting to dispute that she supported Barry Goldwater in 1964?

It's not even like she says she regrets supporting Barry Goldwater! She says she was proud to be a Goldwater Girl.

It makes zero sense to release an ad comparing Trump to Goldwater when Hillary Clinton was a fan of Goldwater and supported him and still supports him.

It actually makes the contrast even better because once this is introduced into the conversation it shows that Trump is far more extreme than even Goldwater

Goldwater supported Gay Rights and was pro choice.

Trump? Hah. Trump's not a hardcore right winger, of course. He's what I call an "authoritarian conservative," which is its own kind of radical deviation from the country's previous leadership (on both sides of the aisle) and his own party.

Saw that today and then saw this thread and came here to post it. Johnson's attack ads against Goldwater are really the model they should follow in attacking Trump, particularly doing a version of the "Daisy Spot" focusing on Trump's flip comments about nuclear war.

I wish they'd gone with an update going with a middle aged person saying they'd voted for Reagan/Bush 41 the first time they voted, though.

Also quite laughable of an ad, because not only is it trying to compare Trump to a hard rightwinger like Goldwater, it is implying that Hillary Clinton can be compared to LBJ, which is even more laughable.

Don't think the ad was specifically trying to "compare" anyone to anyone, just using the same format of a successful campaign ad to attack Trump.

In conclusion, this election is about which individual is best cut out to be President. It is not about policies and party platforms which become meaningless after the first couple of years.

I'm pretty sure I think an ex secretary of state (who most international relations pros view as having been a pretty good one, despite what people's Fox News eco chamber may tell them) and Senator is probably more "cut out" to be president than a casino magnate and reality TV host.

How can anyone argue that Trump is "cut out" to be president when he doesn't understand how the government works on a basic level (he thinks judges "sign bills") doesn't take the gravity of the kinds of decisions he'll have to make seriously (as evidenced by his flip comments about going nuclear) and is a gullible dolt who buys into every half baked conspiracy theory around (birtherism, vaccines, exc)? He makes Sarah Palin in 08 look like Bush 41 in 88 in terms of being qualified for the job.

Clinton clearly wins on experience, and Trump has even higher negatives than her so she's a little more likely to be unifying. Trump is certainly far more divisive along race/gender lines (Clinton's favorability ratings with whites and men are higher than his with minorities and women). Who cares about "fresh ideas" if all his new ideas are terrible?

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.

I find it hard to believe that anyone could come with a reason why Clinton would be substantively different from Obama aside from her being a little to the right on economic issues.
Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.

What does that even mean? If she actually gets elected herself, didn't she become president "in her own right"? Someone's family shouldn't have an impact on your vote either way.

You may feel free to disagree with me, I will listen and respect your opinion.

Quote

He's not a right winger, he's an authoritarian who wants to expand the state in virtually every respect. If you're calling for protesters to be "taken out on stretchers" you're certainly a hard line something
